We are happy to announce the latest update to HoloMeeting. With the inclusion of a record feature to the livestream we have now gone beyond the capabilities of other video conferencing solutions to offer a 360 degree option for training, remote assistance and more for our clients.
The record feature can be instantly shared during HoloMeetings as the files cache, during sessions, to the client's document folder.
We're happy again to announce our latest update to our HoloMeeting application. Our remote meeting and collaboration application is available for HoloLens, Windows Mixed Reality Headsets, Surface Pro tablets and Windows 10 Desktop.
This build brings with it a problem to a sticky situation as well as seeing the full MS store release of the desktop version.
We're happy again to announce our latest update to our HoloMeeting application. Our remote meeting and collaboration application is available for HoloLens, Windows Mixed Reality Headsets, Surface Pro tablets and Windows 10 Desktop. The latest full version includes updates to all hardware. Auto-updates are in place for both HoloLens and Windows Mixed Reality headsets but desktop and surface pro users will need to update manually.
There are many different features which enhance the user experience of HoloMeeting. From collaboration to design aids, the application has a range of potential use cases. Here we explore one of the main features of HoloMeeting, see how it can be used and how to get the most out of the feature itself.
The Live Stream or Live View feature is intended to provide users support across a range of circumstances including remote assistance and training.
This update represents a major step forward for HoloMeeting. Not only are HoloLens, Windows Mixed Reality and desktop versions of the application available directly via the Microsoft Store but we have added a remote inking feature which dramatically improves the live feed experience.
We are continually committed to improving all aspects of the HoloMeeting application, across all platforms in order to provide the smoothest and most complete experience possible for our clients.
You can now join HoloMeeting from a Windows Mixed Reality Headset. This function had previously been in beta while we tested and tweaked the application in order to ensure full functionality and compatibility with HoloLens. However, we are happy to fully announce this now and it will be available to our HoloMeeting early access clients shortly via an automatic update. We have also overhauled the sharing system in general.
This update focused on the in-person shared experience. This allows you and your colleagues to automatically sync up your devices when you are in the same physical and holographic room. The HoloLenses find each other via Bluetooth, turn off the avatars and exchange the Spatial Anchor in order to see the holograms in the same physical location. For our architecture clients, we've added a scalable Revit integration that allows you to bring in your Revit models with one click.
This update introduces the Live Feed feature allowing you to share your perspective with other meeting participants. This can be used for remote maintenance and assistance use cases, for instance an expert supporting a colleague at the site with a repair or emergency situation. To make the HoloMeeting feel even more real, we've added a server based custom avatar system. Clients get a free 3D scanning session at their office and the avatars are then connected to their business email addresses.
In this update, we've focused on the OneDrive for Business integration. This means that users with OneDrive for Business accounts can now freely share files with OneDrive Personal accounts. This is a main feature since we can now support enterprise user and all related security policies are carried over. This makes for a seamless experience inside HoloMeeting.
Features, features, features - that's the theme of our first major HoloMeeting update. Among the new features that we've added is a Camera feature for remote assistance & maintenance use cases as well as the ability to sketch collaboratively using the Freehand Draw feature. We're still only just into 2018 but it is full steam ahead with HoloMeeting and what it can bring to business.
