The Automatic update of the room listing feature is a valuable tool for users to keep check of HoloMeeting participants.
The fluid nature of HoloMeeting means that users can effectively come in and out of meetings as they wish. Much like one could in a real-life meeting scenario. However, unlike in real meetings, you there is no 'empty chair' identifier in HoloMeeting, you cannot simply look to your left or right and instantly see that someone isn't there.
This perhaps is not entirely accurate because when a colleague disappears or leaves the room so too does their avatar. However, there were some instances when there was a lag or when multiple people where in the room it was not as clear to keep track of participants.
We have now introduced a feature to the participant menu which ensures that if a person leaves, their presence is updated in the listing meaning that there is clarity for everyone.
We often update and implement features, albeit small to improve our users' experience of HoloMeeting. It is this constant willingness to improve the product and out attention to detail that ensures our application matches the needs of enterprise customers.
